Dear North Adams-Jerome Families,
As you are all aware, Governor Gretchen Whitmer has made the order to close all K-12 schools through April 5 in an attempt to slow the spread of (COVID-19) Coronavirus. Based on this state mandate, we would like to offer the following information:
In order to disinfect and attempt to maintain a virus-free space, the entire North Adams-Jerome campus is closed to the public. This includes all buildings, athletic facilities, and playgrounds.
All school events, activities, and programs on the schedule through April 5 have been cancelled or postponed. We will provide more information on rescheduling after we return to school.
Any events scheduled after April 5 will remain on the calendar; however, they are subject to change in the future based on government and local directives.
On Friday, March 13, our instructional staff sent home study, review, and resource materials to complete during this closure.
If your student was absent on Friday, March 13, please call (810) 730-7473 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request these materials.
There will be additional homework, review, resources, and study materials made available on Monday, March 23, on the “Teacher Pages” tab on our website at www.najps.org.
If your student needs printed study materials, please call (810) 730-7473 or email email@example.com to make this request.
Families of and/or students with an IEP can request support by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are providing lunches to anyone who arrives for pickup in the elementary school parking lot Monday-Friday between 10:30am and 12:00pm. Please remain in your vehicle. A staff member will take your order from the parking lot. Additionally, lunches can be delivered to those who do not have transportation. Please call or text (810) 730-7473 for delivery requests only.
Our Michigan K-12 schools have not received information regarding many topics such as make-up days, standardized testing, and rescheduling large events. When we receive information from the state, we will share it with our families and community members.
Our students, families, community members, and staff are in our thoughts during these challenging times. Please take appropriate measures to stay healthy and safe. If you have any questions or concerns, check the NAJPS app, our website www.najps.org, or please contact Superintendent and Principal, Wes Johnson, at (810) 730-7473.
