Notice of a Public Hearing on Proposed 2026/2027 Budget
Bus route #3 will run normal morning and afternoon routes starting Wednesday September 23! Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Tuesday, September 22, 2026 we will have a new bus driver for bus route #3 in the morning. However, we do not currently have a driver for the after school bus route #3 for Tuesday. Administrators can accommodate by driving students after school if parents contact the school office by noon to give permission.
Due to needed repairs, bus route #3 cannot run Friday, September 18, 2026. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Middle school students in Mrs. Hamilton's classes will be walking to our local library on Friday. Students who do not have a signed permission slip will not be able to participate.
We are offering after school Homework Hour. Parents must pick up at 4:00 pm.
Bus #3, normally driven by Bella, will not be running in the morning or afternoon on Monday, September 14, 2026. We apologize for the inconvenience but we do not have a driver. The district appreciates any assistance from parents and families in transporting students. Administration is willing to help if parents if possible. We would need an alternate pick up/drop off time, a written permission note from the parents in order to help with transportation and a call to the school after 7:15 AM.
We are actively seeking potential bus drivers. The district helps with the cost of training and licensing. Please call if interested.
Wednesday August 26 at 6 pm the middle school football parent meeting will be held.
Thursday Aug 27 the varsity volleyball team will depart at 3:30 for the match at Climax Scotts and the varsity football team will depart at 4:50 for the 7 pm game at Stryker.
The NAJPS Band has selected their Drum Major! This is a leadership role in which the student takes part in conducting the Marching Band. Drum roll please...congratulations JoAnna Stallhood.
Apologies for the error: School starts at 7:50 am for Elementary and 7:55 for Middle and High school students and ends at 2:45 pm for the elementary and at 2:50 pm for middle school and high school.

Monday, August 17 Board of Education meeting is at 6:00 pm.
Tuesday, August 18 is our first day of school. Football, volleyball and cheer will have practices all week.
The Athletic Department is offering a year long family pass for $60, and an individual pass for $25. Admission to all athletic events will cost $5 for adults, and $3 for students. Children under the age of 5 and those over the age of 60 are free.

Today the NAJPS Marching Band is celebrating their hard work at Cedar Point!! Come watch their skills at the Heritage Day parade Saturday, August 15 in North Adams at 10:00 am!
NAJPS hosted Open House with our students and families. Not only did our entire staff host a remarkable event, we welcomed new students and families. A HUGE shout out to the staff and Board of Education members who grilled hot dogs, made slushies, cotton candy and met new students. Behind the scenes our staff prepared our buildings and classrooms to ensure we provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.
We look forward to seeing our students on August 18, 2026 when we officially kick off the new academic year!
Marching band students have rehearsal on August 12 from 10 am to 2 pm. The band trip to Cedar Point on August 13 leaves at 8:30 am (new time). The Heritage Day parade line up August 15 begins at 9:30 am.
NAJPS will have a variety of free used school furniture! The furniture will be available from 5-7 pm only at the district wide Open House on August 12, 2026. There will not be assistance to move or transport any items you may want. This opportunity is on a first come first served basis and the district will not hold furniture.
Good evening. We hope to see you at our back to school Open House on August 12 from 5-7 pm. At 6 pm during Open House there will be a mandatory meeting for high school football players, volleyball players, cheerleaders and their parents held in the gymnasium.
The band will be traveling to Cedar Point on Thursday August 13.
All teachers will be attending professional development on August 13 and 14.
The annual North Adams Heritage Day will be held on Saturday August 15! Please come celebrate the community!
The 6 pm meeting for athletes and parents of football and volleyball players and cheerleaders is being held at 6 pm during the Open House at NAJPS!
The parents of any high school students participating in High School football, cheerleading or volleyball are required to attend the Fall Athletic Meeting in the high school gymnasium at 6 pm. This will be held at the same time as Open House.
We welcome students and families to attend our Back to School Open House, August 12, 2026 from 5-7 pm!
