Congrats to Abi Nunez, who will take her outstanding volleyball skills to Lake Michigan College next season. Abi's illustrious NAJ career was capped by setting 3 school records including season attack attempts: (1,095), career attack attempts (3,784), and career kills (1,310). Abi was named League MVP and earned Third Team All State. Well done, Abi! We're proud of you!

Thank you for making our toy distribution a great success. Over 120 kids enjoyed receiving toys and we are planning an even bigger event next Christmas. NAJ is a tremendous place and I am grateful for all of the love shown! Merry Christmas from NAJ!
The North Adams-Jerome School District has a two-year vacant position on the Board of Education. Requirements to apply include residency within the NAJ district, availability to attend meetings on two Monday evenings monthly, and an interest in promoting the educational programs and growth of the school district in a positive way.

We have toys for EVERY preschool through 5th grade student and will disburse them on Monday, December 21 between 10:30 and 6. Santa will greet your child and you can snap a picture if you'd like. Due to limited supplies, we can only serve current students of NAJ. The middle school and high school kids will receive a different gift later this year. If you receive food delivery, Santa will be coming along and will deliver the food and the toy. If neither of those options work, Santa can deliver your gift on Tuesday. Dear NAJ family:
After discussion with staff, conversations with community members, and data trends regarding infection, we have decided to resume in person learning on January 4 rather than January 11, if the government does not issue a shut down order. Our staff has worked tirelessly to provide online instruction and have done well, but these times have confirmed that the best place for kids is in the building with direct instruction from our professional educators. The mental health strain on families is high and I believe the long term effects of being away from school outweigh all other factors. Covid is something we will have to deal with, but I don’t want it to prevent us from helping our kids get the personal education and services they need and deserve. We are looking forward to being back to in person learning and are confident that 2021 will be a phenomenal year for all of us! Dear friends and colleagues,
I wanted to give you and update on school resuming in person. Although I know we all want to get back to the building and are scheduled to do so next week, the health department of Hillsdale County has indicated that we are one of the most infected counties in the region right now, and as more of our staff and students are quarantined or infected, we are electing to extend our online only instruction until January 11.
The governor's press conference inferred another potential shut down and in order to get the necessary food for the lunch and breakfast programs, we would have to order by today and we couldn't wait any longer to take action.
We wanted to give parents and guardians adequate time to get child care arrangements. I truly apologize for any inconvenience, but the risks are simply too high right now. Your children's and my staff's safety well always be my top concern.
Thank you for supporting us during these difficult times and better days are ahead for all of us. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Good morning, Kindergarten parents! Packets will be in totes ready for pick up at 8:00am on Monday, Nov. 30th . Those not picked up by 8:00 am on Tuesday Dec. 1st will be delivered to the student's home address. Contact Mrs. Weber if you have any questions. Totes will remain outside from now on for Parents who want to drop off packets.
